Thoughts on the X431

I've got a keen interest in many areas, but never thought I would be interested in car diagnostics. However, this changed when I took my car into the garage recently. I knew I had some sort of problem but didn't know what so thought I'd get it checked out by a professional. When I went to pick it up the guy told me it was just an engine obd2 tool computer fault and they'd sorted it out using their diagnostics tools. That would have been fine except for the amount I was charged, which I thought was excessive considering what had been done.

So, after this little episode I decided to look into the area of car diagnostic tools to see if I could have solved this problem myself. I'm not pretending to be an expert but I've been learning a bit about it and what tools are necessary to read a car's computer. And from what I've read there are some ranges that stand out more than most. One of those is the Launch X431 collection, although this is by no means the only one. From what I understand it's mainly aimed at professional establishments but if you're going to use it regularly or you're a big car enthusiast, they look like a great investment to me.
Like I've said, I'm no expert but let me try to explain why I think these are some of the best  Diagnostics OBD2  around. First of all, they are from a reputable and renowned company that has a lot of respect within the industry. This means a lot in the automotive industry, where inferior products can be extremely costly if they don't do the job required of them. Of course coming from a top company doesn't guarantee that a range will be any good for you, so it's best to do your own  obd2 tool research too.
